The Gloomy Roosters

A Lancaster County native, he launched his culinary journey after graduating from culinary school in 2012. From there, he spent nearly a decade honing his craft in some of the country’s most vibrant food scenes—including Hawaii, New York City, and Nashville. His experience spans high-end resorts, Michelin-starred restaurants, and everything in between, giving him a rich and diverse foundation in the culinary arts.

After years of working alongside some of the world’s most talented chefs, he returned home with a vision—and a whole lot of flavor. What began as a one-day-a-week pop-up, The Gloomy Rooster, quickly earned a loyal following. Now, he’s proud to bring it full-time to Southern Market.

The Gloomy Rooster’s menu centers around crave-worthy fried chicken sandwiches and house-made fries, infused with bold, unexpected flavors inspired by his travels and professional journey. It’s comfort food—elevated, personal, and unforgettable.
